Competition is limited to the Divine Nine organizations of the National Pan-Hellenic Council. Each active home chapter will be the sole decision maker in which team will represent their respective organization.
Step routines are limited to 14 minutes including up to 6 minutes for music. Each teams time will begin with the first presence of the team, i.e Intro music, Intro voice over or movement of performers. Your time will conclude when the entire performance is clear of the stage (props not included). While there is no maximum number of performers allowed, only up to a maximum of up to 12 tickets will be available per step team. Every performer is required to have a Step Show ticket to enter the Walter Pyramid after walk throughs.
Performances, which contain indecent or obscene use of props and/or costumes, sexually explicit language, verbal attacks on any organization and jumping off stage into the audience, will be subject to penalty and/or disqualification. This is final.
California State University, Long Beach NPHC and the CSULB Pyramid administration must approve all special effects equipment and/or props. No fog or smoke machines allowed. No props that resemble any type of firearm will be permitted. No fire or pyrotechnics. No type of motor vehicles. Use of any of the above listed will lead to automatic disqualification The order of the show will be determined by the CSULB NPHC Step Show planning committee. Their deciding order will be the final.
CSULB and the CSULB Pan-Hellenic Council retains the right to reproduce all images, photos, video and audio associated with Long Beach Step Show performances and performers.
